Dr. Teresa Gerber (PhD)
I studied Molecular Biology (MSc) at the University of Vienna when I joined the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) as a master’s student. After a short research stay at the University of Cambridge, I decided to return to the CCRI to continue my studies and to obtain a PhD. I focus in my projects on liquid biopsy analysis in high-risk neuroblastoma patients. With this minimal-invasive method, we are able to monitor disease markers over time and we aim to identify patients with insufficient response to therapy and possible disease progressions as early as possible.
Research associate at at Sabine Taschner-Mandl´s Group.
