(28.01.2021) Today, Thursday 28th of January, CCRI´s committed childhood cancer ambassador Prof. Ruth Ladenstein, member of the EU mission cancer board will raise Europe-wide awareness about childhood cancer twice in one day.
In the morning (approx. 10:30am) Prof. Ladenstein will inform on the next planned steps of the EU initiative “Mission Cancer: conquering cancer – mission possible” at an event organized by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
In the afternoon (approx. 16:45pm), she will speak up for the pediatric cancer cause at the European Parliament in the public hearing “Mind the gap: For equal access to cancer medicines and treatments". Here she will specifically highlight the disparities in access to treatments and clinical trials for rare diseases such as pediatric cancers and what countermeasures are being taken.
