CCRI coordinates FP7 funded science communication activity

The project "overcoming cancer with research" has the official acronym DIRECT, an abbreviation derived from the title: DIsseminate Results of EC-funded Treatment improvements in paediatric oncology. In order to do so four project partners have joined forces to initiate a comprehensive set of communication activities in order to inform the general public about the successes of paediatric oncology, which were achieved with funds from the EC's framework programmes but also with substantial donations from private individuals to organisations like the "Children's Cancer Research Institute" or the "German Childhood Cancer Foundation" . This shall serve as an example for the benefits research can provide for society.
