Funding
The CCRI is mainly funded through donations to the association "St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung". If you would like information about the activities of this association or want to make a donation please refer to this link (German only) or get in touch with Mag. Andrea Prantl. We are grateful for all donations, small and large, which have made our work possible through the years.
The Institute also strives to fund its research activities through project grants from national and international funding bodies. Therefore, the scientists of the CCRI are strongly encouraged to support their research activities with external funds. These funds are applied for in competition with other scientists, and generally granted only upon an international peer review process. This approach results in a higher financial flexibility and continuous international review of the institute's research program.
The CCRI receives no direct financial support from the Austrian government or the City of Vienna, other than grants for competitive, peer-reviewed research projects - for example through the Gen-AU program.
In addition to donations by the public and corporate sponsors, the CCRI acknowledges
support by the following funding bodies and programs:
|
Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung (FWF)
Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft (FFG)
Framework Programs by the EC
Gen-AU Program by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research (BM:WF)
Jubiläumsfonds der Österreichischen Nationalbank (ÖNB)
Medizinisch-Wissenschaftlicher Fonds des Bürgermeisters der Bundeshauptstadt Wien
